![]() You say it's part of South Asian culture (which it is), but it's origins actually lie outside of South Asia. Let's take the shalwar kameez as an example. As far as I am concerned, the more that people borrow and learn from other cultures, the better, as it can contribute to greater understanding between different people! Cultures are constantly evolving and always borrowing and contributing to other cultures – they are not pieces of property that are "owned" by a particular group of people. I'm South Asian too, and I don't find anything wrong with Kate wearing this type of clothing or her wearing a bindi.
